1865. Peace returns. Minnesota regiments return and are disbanded; in

all 25,052 troops furnished by the State. Census shows 250,000 inhabitants. 1866-72. Rapid railroad building everywhere, immigration heavy, "good times" prevail, and real estate inflated.

1781. Mr. Brisbois lived a stirring and eventful life. He died in Ch.29
