90. Hiadeoni, the Seneca (p. 356): Of this story Schoolcraft says:

"The following incident in the verbal annals of Iroquois hardihood and heroism was related to me by the intelligent Seneca, Tetoyoah, William Jones of Cattaraugus, along with other reminiscences of the ancient Cherokee wars." Hewitt thinks the proper Seneca form of the name may be Haia'di'oñni, signifying "His body lies supine."
