Dublin, B.A. 1855; succeeded as 5 viscount 23 Jany. 1872; a magistrate for county Galway; had most unhappy relations with his tenants, some of whom he ejected 1880. _murdered_ with 6 bullet wounds at Rusheen near Clonbur, co. Galway 25 Sept.
