53. MARCUS GALERIUS ANTONINUS. _Roman Prince._

[Date and place of birth unknown. Flourished A.D. 140.] Son of Antoninus Pius and Annia Galeria Faustina. Nothing is known of his life or death. His effigy is extant with that of his mother upon a rare Greek coin; but he is not styled Cæsar in the inscription. Marcus Galerius, no doubt, died before his father became Emperor. [From the marble in the Gallery of the Emperors of the Capitoline Museum.]
