1. I cannot agree with those who have hitherto translated this chapter.

The only grammatical interpretation which seems possible for the first sentence depends upon the sense given to the suffix ⁂⁂ _tȧ_. I take this as representing the second person singular. ⁂⁂, the person _at rest_ (Osiris) is the one invoked, and is here translated by the vocative.
